SPIRITUAL SOLACE - NEPAL & BHUTAN
Kathmandu Thimpu Bhutan
Nepal and Bhutan are the two Himalayan kingdoms that draw us back to them time and again. Both countries are very different from one another, but complement each other beautifully. Nepal has a more multicultural spirit and there is a deep sense of reverence that one feels when you walk into a place like Pashupatinath or Dakshin Kali. These are primarily Hindu temples. Bhutan's spirituality is primarily Buddhist. The dzongs or monasteries are important centres of Buddhist learning and ritual. Bhutan practices Vajrayana Buddhism nad it's an important way of life. Karma is central to both Hinduism and Buddhism, and both Nepal and Bhutan are places where one feels as if fate has brought you there for a definite reason. But even beyond the walls of the halls of worship, one often sees prayer flags flying in the wind as you drive through the countryside. Small nature shrines, and an earthy respect for nature pervades this mountainous landscape. Ask us to learn more about our Nepal and Bhutan itineraries.
