Day 1: Airport – Negombo – Sigiriya
Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, where you are warmly welcomed by our representative. Begin your journey north with a short exploration of Negombo, a lively seaside town known for its colorful fishing boats, bustling fish markets, tranquil lagoons, and a strong colonial heritage reflected in its churches and canals. Continue inland through changing landscapes of coconut groves and rural villages towards Sigiriya. Check in at your hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening surrounded by nature. Overnight in Sigiriya
Day 2: Polonnaruwa – Anuradhapura – Sigiriya
After breakfast, drive to Polonnaruwa, a beautifully preserved medieval capital. Wander among majestic ruins of royal palaces, intricately carved stone sculptures, sacred shrines, and impressive irrigation tanks that testify to advanced ancient engineering. In the afternoon, visit Anuradhapura, the cradle of Sri Lankan civilization. Discover colossal stupas, monastic complexes, and the revered Sri Maha Bodhi, the oldest historically documented tree in the world, venerated by Buddhists for over two millennia. Return to Sigiriya for a peaceful evening. Overnight in Sigiriya.
Day 3: Sigiriya – Dambulla – Nalanda Gedige – Matale – Kandy
Breakfast at the hotel before visiting the Dambulla Cave Temple, a remarkable rock complex adorned with over 150 Buddha statues and vibrant frescoes spanning centuries of devotion. Continue to Nalanda Gedige, a fascinating architectural enigma blending Hindu and Buddhist elements, set in a serene rural landscape. Stop in Matale to visit a spice garden, learning about Sri Lanka’s famed cinnamon, cardamom, and nutmeg, followed by a batik workshop showcasing traditional textile artistry. Arrive in Kandy, the last royal capital of Sri Lanka. In the evening, visit the sacred Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of Buddhism’s most revered pilgrimage sites. Overnight in Kandy.
Day 4: Kandy – Pinnawela – Kandy
After breakfast, excursion to Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, where you observe rescued elephants during feeding time and watch them bathe playfully in the river — a memorable wildlife experience. Return to Kandy for a guided city tour, including local markets, artisan workshops, and the Kandy Museum, offering insight into Kandyan royal heritage. In the evening, enjoy a vibrant Kandyan cultural dance performance with traditional drumming and fire acts. Overnight in Kandy.
Day 5: Kandy – Peradeniya – Nuwara Eliya
Visit the lush Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, famed for its exotic plant species, palm avenues, and outstanding orchid collection. Proceed into the misty highlands, passing waterfalls and emerald-green slopes. Stop at a tea plantation and factory to learn the secrets behind world-renowned Ceylon Tea, from leaf to cup. Arrive in Nuwara Eliya, a charming colonial hill station often called “Little England.” Enjoy a leisurely walk around Gregory Lake, soaking in the cool climate and old-world charm. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 6: Nuwara Eliya – Ella – Buduruwagala – Kataragama – Yala
Depart towards Ella, enjoying breathtaking views of rolling tea estates, deep valleys, and cascading waterfalls. Continue to Buduruwagala, home to towering ancient rock-carved Buddha figures hidden within the forest. Visit Kataragama, a multi-faith pilgrimage center revered by Buddhists, Hindus, and Muslims alike. In the afternoon, embark on a thrilling jeep safari in Yala National Park, famous for its rich biodiversity, elephants, crocodiles, and one of the world’s highest leopard concentrations. Overnight near Yala / Tissamaharama.
Day 7: Weligama – Galle – Colombo
After breakfast, drive along the southern coast with a stop in Weligama to observe the iconic stilt fishermen — a timeless image of Sri Lanka’s maritime traditions. Continue to Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where cobbled streets, colonial ramparts, and historic mansions reflect Portuguese, Dutch, and British influences. Proceed to Colombo for a city tour covering the Fort district, bustling Pettah bazaar, colonial-era neighborhoods, and the revered Kelaniya Temple. Overnight in Colombo.
Day 8: Colombo – Airport – Maldives (Arrival)
Breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight to the Maldives. Upon arrival, warm welcome and speedboat transfer to your island resort. Begin your stay in paradise — turquoise lagoons, white sands, and palm-fringed serenity. Dinner & overnight in Maldives.
Day 9: Maldives Island Resort
A full day at leisure to enjoy pristine beaches, snorkelling, water sports, or rejuvenating spa treatments, surrounded by crystal-clear waters and vibrant marine life. Half board. Overnight in Maldives.
Day 10: Maldives Island Resort
Another day to unwind at your own pace — explore coral reefs, take a sunset cruise, or simply relax beneath the tropical sun. Half board. Overnight in Maldives.
Day 11: Maldives – Airport Departure
Breakfast and free time until check-out at noon. Speedboat transfer to the airport for your onward flight. End of a truly magical journey combining culture, nature, wildlife, and tropical bliss.
